I can't ignore this news

Normally I do not share news about Jackie's family or private life at all but I can not ignore this news. Sticking to the very basic facts Beijing Police have been conducting a very stringent crackdown on drug use for the last few months which has netted more than 7800 offenders in this time. Last Thursday 14 August Jaycee was arrested at his home in Beijing while in possession of more than 100g of marijuana. At the time of his arrest Jaycee tested positive for drug use. Jaycee has been put under "criminal detention" for the suspected crime of "providing a shelter for others to abuse drugs". This crime carries a sentence of three years in jail if found guilty.

In addition 42 entertainment and performance agencies have struck an agreement, organised by the Beijing Trade Association for Performances, to boycott celebrities who take drugs.

Last night Jaycee's management company, M'Stones issued a statement apologizing to the public on Jaycee's behalf for the social impact caused by the incident and said that the the company is willing to bear with Jaycee and hopes to supervise his rehabilitation back onto the right path.

Please try not to speculate wildly about this news, and verify reports before sharing them - thank you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Chan family at this difficult time. I wish for a good resolution for all.

As are all of ours. It must be a very difficult time for the family and we can only do our part in continuing to show support for Jackie and we can also help by not speculating on events and waiting for clear verified news.
